Food and Wine Victoria Ltd (FWV) is the non-profit organisation behind the internationally acclaimed Melbourne Food and Wine Festival (MFWF), a major event held annually in March. FWV is also an advocating body, staging year-round initiatives and campaigns, for the advancement of the Victorian food and wine the industry.
MFWF celebrates food and wine excellence, generating global anticipation and visitation. Through its delivery, the Festival promotes quality produce, talent and lifestyle to reinforce Melbourne, Victoria as the preeminent food and wine capital of Australia together with global trends and talent. We are currently seeking an innovative and experienced Financial Controller who is results driven. The Financial Controller is required to facilitate the preparation of financial information and analysis for the CEO, Board, Corporate Governance, Business Operations Manager and other internal staff efficiently and effectively.
The role will provide organisational and administrative leadership for all financial operations in the daily financial reconciliation and reporting of the organisation. Areas of responsibility include internal and external financial reporting, financial analysis, payroll, acquittal reports for partners and ensuring the integrity of internal financial systems, controls and procedures.

Food and Wine Victoria are currently seeking a Book Keeper/Finance Assistant to join the team for the 2018 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, to start immediately.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Book Keeper/Finance Assistant will works closely with the Financial Controller to ensure the organisation’s financial objectives are met. This role supports FWV by managing the accounts requirements.
The successful candidate will need previous experience in a similar role, superb communication skills and high attention to detail. A proactive attitude and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are also important.
This position is for one day per week. Office day/s will vary based on workload and will increase closer to the festival commencement.
