Join dessert whiz Pierre Roelofs and leading sommelier Raul Moreno Yague, two young men with a passion for desserts and wine, as they explore and explain the potential for truly great results when exceptional desserts are matched with equally exceptional wines.
They are currently planning a unique Dessert and Wine restaurant to open in Melbourne's CBD later this year,where Pierre's award-winning and highly distinctive creations will sit alongside his perfect renditions of the sweetest of classics,all carefully matched with rare and unusual wines chosen by Raul.
This workshop will give you the opportunity to preview their exciting project and hear how Raul and Pierre work together to achieve not only sensational wine and dessert matches but also their logical progression, where the sommelier has as much influence in the creative process as the chef - only possible with a close understanding, professional respect and no egos.
