Family Foodie Weekend at ArtPlay

Gather the troops and join in for a weekend celebration of family food traditions. This celebration will be led by some of Melbourne’s best chefs and festival friends including the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation.

 

Treat your little foodies to one of our Hands-On Kids Classes presented by KitchenAid. At just $35.00 per child, kids will learn to cook yummy traditional family recipes from local chefs including Gary Mehigan and Elizabeth Chong.

Foodie Flicks

Little eyes can also feast on feature flicks across Saturday and Sunday as the Festival’s seven day Foodie Films program celebrates Foodie Family Weekend with fun kids’ flicks on the big screen at Federation Square.

Kitchen Jam

Nestled between Foodie Films and ArtPlay, is a lively interactive space for families. Bring your unused pots, pans and utensils to add to the community kitchen sculpture, or create tantalising tummy rumbling rhythms with the pots and pans orchestra, ‘Kitchen Jam’.
