Our program of industry dedicated events aims to inspire and engage
individuals and businesses across the food, wine and hospitality industry.


Chef Jam

New in 2012, Chef Jam will explore ‘The Future of Food' through a series of dynamic presentations delivered by local and global visionaries including the world's number one René Redzepi (Noma, Denmark), international superstar David Chang (Momofuku restaurants, New York & Sydney) and three-Michelin-star food philosopher and chef extraordinaire Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana, Italy).

At just $45 for an afternoon of quick-fire sessions followed by a networking event at Showtime Events Centre - Chef Jam has been designed to allow all industry, from the apprentice to the hospitality legend, access to a once-in-a-life-time opportunity to rub shoulders with the world's most inspiring culinary greats.

Mentor Melbourne

Mentor Melbourne returns in 2012, opening kitchen and front-of-house doors to the next generation of the hospitality industry with restaurateurs and chefs from top Melbourne restaurants plus experts from food businesses sharing their unique insights into the culinary world.

Limited to only 10 places for most sessions, this is a rare chance to learn from, be inspired by and pick the brains of some of the city's industry leaders with sessions from Philippe Mouchel (PM24), Gail Donovan (Donovans), Greg Malouf (MoMo), innovative events company Bright Young Things plus a host of other local legends!

Twenty years ago the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival sprung from the passions of the people of the city and the state, and has evolved into an award-winning, state-wide celebration attracting food and wine lovers from around the globe. Matching it stride for stride was the growth of the Victorian Winemaking community. To celebrate this synergy you are invited to experience a tasting like no other.
