Everything you need to feed your family and friends, hotel guests or restaurant customers is grown, made or produced right here in Victoria. We have a bountiful supply of delicious fresh produce and exceptional wines grown, harvested or made within a few hours of wherever you are in Victoria.
Supported by Department of Business & Innovation, Put Victoria On Your Table is a state-wide campaign led by Melbourne Food and Wine to encourage consumption of, and loyalty to, high quality food and wine of Victorian provenance.
Put Victoria On Your Table holds two themed seasonal campaigns each year and participation is subject to Melbourne Food and Wine approval.
Nothing brings people together like a hearty roast. For the month of June, Melbourne Food and Wine celebrates The Roast Collection: a theme designed to further reinforce Put Victoria On Your Table during winter through elements of the traditional roast.
Celebrate rare breeds or heirloom vegetables, create a shared table feast by an open fire and resurrect the lost arts of traditional gravy, apple, bread or mint sauce. Create cracker crackling or the perfect roast potato dish, celebrate the sides with cauliflower au gratin, tomato and onion pie or minted peas. Or highlight the ultimate winter couple, reds and roasts.
Submissions for The Roast Collection 2012 are now open and close Wednesday 16 May. Put your thinking cap on, get your creative juices flowing and start planning!

During September The Spring Graze campaign invites industry and consumers alike to celebrate everything that is new again. Victorian restaurants, wineries and producers are encouraged to draw on a bounty of new-season Victorian produce to celebrate the Put Victoria On Your Table philosophy and the sweetness that comes with the emergence of spring.
Spring is the season when lamb is at its most tender, so interpret this sweet, plump meat in your own delicious guise, whether that be Greek, Italian, Turkish, French or another style. Incorporate fresh cheeses made from the first flush of spring milk into your event or take your celebrations al fresco in the form of a spring picnic.
Watch this space for more information on submission dates for The Spring Graze 2012.
Melbourne Food and Wine are committed to promoting Victorian food and wine events year-round.
Our ‘What’s On’ calendar provides an opportunity to list food and wine events taking place outside the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival & Put Victoria On Your Table campaign periods at no cost to the event organiser.
We encourage any Victorian restaurant, bar, winery, gallery, social club or cultural group to list their food and wine events.
Register your event for the 'What's On' Calendar
Melbourne Food and Wine will then review your submission and once approved, will display the listing online.
