Help shape Melbourne Food & Wine Festival

The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival presented by the Bank of Melbourne (8-24 March) is calling out for your involvement to ensure the 2019 Festival is the most exciting and captivating yet.

As the festival enters its 27th year, we invite you to help shape Australia’s preeminent celebration of food and wine through a dynamic program of events that will showcase the best Melbourne and Victoria has to offer.

With no overarching festival theme for 2019, the challenge is on to get outside your comfort zone and deliver extraordinary event experiences that share our state’s great food, beverage and hospitality stories with local and non-Victorian audiences.

We’d love you to hear from you about the one event you’ve always wanted to run. Or perhaps the recipes you’ve always wanted to share. Do you know a secret location just waiting to be discovered? And who have you always wanted to collaborate with to create an unprecedented culinary mashup?

New to the 2019 Festival will be the introduction of a Regional Weekend on 15-17 March which will entail a dedicated program of regional event experiences. No events will be run in Melbourne over these dates. We encourage Melbourne-based businesses and event organisers to spread their wings, collaborate and get active in regional Victoria during these dates.

In line with our dedicated Regional Weekend, events can be submitted throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria within the following dates.

  • Events based in Melbourne: 8-14 & 18-24 March
  • Events based in regional Victoria: 15-17 March (Regional Weekend)

Download the 2019 MFWF Event Organiser Participation Kit for all you need to know about submitting an event in Melbourne.

Event submissions are open from 3 –24 September 2018.
