Two pasta masters team up for one night only

Andreas Papadakis and Pasi Petanen will be collaborating on a five course pasta degustation showcasing seasonal pasta dishes served with your choice of sulphur free wine matches by Giorgio de Maria or more conventional matches by Luke Skidmore.

Pasi Petanen spent many years as Mark Best’s head chef at Marque in Sydney before spreading his wings and opening several of the city’s most successful pop-ups, including Café Paci, which received sparkling reviews from Australia’s food press. That’s Amore, Petanen’s Italian-ish collaboration with Giorgio de Maria, has travelled from Sydney to Hobart and Finland, with two appearances at Melbourne Food & Wine Festival along the way.

Giorgio de Maria divides his time between his wine import business Giorgio de Maria Fun Wines and creating fun, wine-focused events around Sydney. He co-founded Rootstock, a festival devoted to natural wine; was named Gourmet Traveller’s Sommelier of the Year in 2012 when he worked at 121BC; and is one half of the That’s Amore pop-up with chef Pasi Petanen.
