Rootstock Sydney x MFWF

The Melbourne debut of Sydney’s most interesting organic wine and food festival

Sydney’s celebration of all that’s native, biodynamic and sustainably produced is making its Melbourne debut. Rootstock, known for orange wines and sour beers will bring together a community of like-minded chefs, winemakers, sommeliers, artists and writers for an evening full of natural wine and food. Hosted by founders Mike Bennie, Giorgio di Maria and James Hird.

Joining the chef line up is organic oyster farmer Shane Buckley from Wapengo Rocks Oysters. Wines will flow freely from a selection of Australia’s brightest artisan, natural winemakers Latta Vino, Gentle Folk, Jauma, Shobbrook and Lucy Margaux. Wild-fermented beers by Two Metre Tall round out this one-off, stellar event.

The day will embrace the Rootstock Sydney’s ethos, championing organic/biodynamic/sustainable produce, artisan growers and naturally grown-and-made wines.
