Sam Mason rose to prominence as the original pastry chef of WD~50 in Manhattan NYC with his ability to concoct unusual combinations to surprise, delight and sometimes challenge. In 2013 he opened OddFellows ice-creamery in Williamsburg with business partner Mohan Kumar. He has since created over 200 eclectic ice-cream flavours that combine salty and sweet in frozen harmony.
Sam will join the gang at Fitzroy’s Bar Liberty, a laid-back space founded by a group of hospitality all-stars. They share a sense of fun and a love of unusual ingredients pulled together into delicious and surprising dishes. They’ll serve up five plates, both sweet and savoury – and sometimes straddling the line between the two.
Expect a mash-up of Mason’s now closed Manhattan restaurant/bar Tailor, Odd Fellows ice cream and a sneak peek at the menu of Mason’s upcoming Soda Fountain project before it opens up in Brooklyn this April. Think re-worked diner classics with a twist. In the bar, famous ex-Tailor cocktails will be replicated to complete the experience.
Please note: Seating will be communal
