An unparalleled dining experience is being held at Kisumé to celebrate the iconic Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.

Matching classical Japanese food with some of France’s rarest and greatest wines, all sourced from Kisume’s award winning Winewall™, The Winewall Experience is an event not to miss.

We kick of the dinner with two vintages of the incomparable Krug Clos de Mesnil Champagne followed by a Chablis bracket featuring Raveneau and Dauvissat. These are two of the greatest Chablis producers and Le Clos, the greatest Grand Cru vineyard in Chablis.

We continue the evening with the great white burgundy theme, moving onto grand crus from two of the region’s greatest names; Domaine Leflaive and Domaine Ramonet.

Planted by the legendary Henri Jayer in the 1950s, today Cros Parantoux is one Burgundy’s most celebrated Pinot vineyards. The vineyard only has two owners – Jayer’s nephew Emmanuel Rouget and Meo-Camuzet and these two wines are rarely seen next to each other given their rarity!

Alongside them is a Richebourg (the vineyard borders Cros Parantoux) from Domaine de la Romanee Conti, which is generally considered to the finest Pinot producer on the planet!

Robert Parker, the American critic who changed the face of wine reviewing gave all three 2003 Guigal single vineyard Shiraz and Shiraz / Viognier wines perfect 100-point scores. You can decide for yourself if you agree!

We finish the dinner with Chateau d’Yquem 2011 – another wine from Bordeaux and a wine that is generally considered the world’s greatest sticky!
