James Beard Award-winning, Michelin-starred Wylie Dufresne is one of the most recognisable and innovative culinary figures in the world, and known as the leading proponent of modernist gastronomy in America.
After his awarded restaurant wd~50, Wylie opened a modern yet casual restaurant in 2013 in New York City’s East Village. Alder served creative pub fare, and Dufresne earned praise for his innovative cuisine that included dishes like 'Pigs in a Blanket' with Chinese sausage and Japanese mustard, Rye Pasta with Shaved Pastrami and Cabbage, and more.
He's been immortalised on The Simpsons, appearing on the show as himself, is a celebrity judge regular on BRAVO's Top Chef, and led highly regarded talks for both TEDx and the MAD Symposium.
In early 2017, Wylie plans to open Du's Donuts & Coffee in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
