A simple solution to shopping local

We all want to buy top quality, locally-grown produce, but sometimes it can be hard to find time to make it to the shops. Big supermarkets often win out, purely for convenience.

Just because you don’t always have time, doesn’t mean you can’t shop local. Delivery services such as YourGrocer have popped up to help. Shop online at your local stores and markets and they'll deliver the same day.

You get the best produce while supporting local businesses.

We asked the team at YourGrocer for their current top product picks.

St David Dairy: Anything – all its products are amazing. St David is a micro dairy run by a fourth-generation farming family in Fitzroy.

Wide Open Road CoffeeBathysphere Blend. It’s a perfect blend for both espresso and milk coffees. Roasted in Brunswick.

North Carlton Quality Meats: Sicilian pork sausages. All the sausages are made in-house, have the perfect proportion of meat to fat, and are packed full of flavour, but the Sicilian pork ones are extra special.

St Georges Sourdough Bakehouse: Dark rye. This is our favourite bread in the office - artisan, organic and genuine sourdough.

Neils Quality Meats: Aged prime beef. Neil’s is the place to go for grass-fed, dry-aged beef. The rib eye and T-bone are both excellent.

Pino's Fine Produce: Fruit and vegetable box. This box has a great range and is great value.

If you’d like to try YourGrocer, use 20FOODFEST at checkout for 20% off your first order (offer expires 30 October 2016).
