Introducing our Official Charity Partnership for 2015: Diabetes Australia - Victoria

For the very first time, we’re delighted to have an Official Charity Partner for the Festival - Diabetes Australia – Victoria.

Together, we want to encourage everyone to take an active role in managing their health, by inspiring them with delicious and nutritious food options – regardless of whether they are living with diabetes or not.

This partnership allows us to raise the importance of diabetes within our community and emphasise that good food can be nurturing, wholesome and healthy – as well as being delicious.

There are hundreds of thousands of Victorians living with diabetes, as well as countless family members and carers who are directly affected.

Which is why we’ve created Breakfast Around the Tan presented by Diabetes Australia - Vic. A special experience for the whole family that embraces good food and good fun, transforming Sunday breakfast into a five-course affair.

Stroll through the picturesque Botanic Gardens for a breakfast-on-the-move stopping at breakfast stations along the way for tantalising and nutritious dishes.

Be amused by roving entertainers or catch a lifestyle session between courses of Boston baked beans with mushrooms, sweet potato frittata, muesli with yoghurt and much more.

By coming along to this event you’ll also be supporting Victorians living with diabetes, with 5% of all tickets sold to the event being donated to DA–Vic. Just another reason to invite the extended family along too!

If you can’t make it, you can still support DA–Vic by making a donation when you purchase your ticket to any Melbourne Food and Wine Festival event. Alternatively you can make a direct donation.

Here’s to a happy, healthy Festival!
