Gertrude Street is home to a constantly evolving collection of on-trend fashion stores, cafes, restaurants and bars. Melbourne Food and Wine Festival has teamed up with L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival to pay homage to this mecca of Melbourne culture with an exclusive event fusing fabulous fashion with phenomenal food.

Begin your evening with a VIP after-hours shop at one of three cutting-edge fashion hubs: Obus, Signet Bureau and Dagmar Rousset. Enjoy a chat with the designer over a glass of sparkling wine as you browse through their store. Discover irresistible guest-only offers including an exclusive gift bag from Dagmar Rousset.

Next, head to one of Melbourne’s hottest foodie destinations for a signature tasting plate paired with a matching tipple. Gertrude Street Enoteca, Builders Arms Hotel and Charcoal Lane will put on a show with earth-inspired treats such as lemon myrtle gremolata and goats cheese stuffed swiss browns (Charcoal Lane) andquail wrapped in bacon, pickled quince (Builders Arms Hotel).

Continue your crawl to each clothing store and culinary haven until you reach the evening’s final destination, the award-winning cocktail bar, The Everleigh.

The Everleigh team have designed a cocktail especially for the event. Enjoy your Pomegranate Fix - house made pomegranate, gin and fresh lemon over crushed ice - and compare your wares with new fashion friends.

A fun evening for foodies and fashion fans celebrating the best of Melbourne.

Designer Bites will be held on Tuesday 5 March, 6:00pm-10:00pm. Cost $95. For full event information click here.
