Capitano
The second joint venture for the boys behind Fitzroy’s Bar Liberty, this modern Italian bar and restaurant serves pizza and pasta with an extensive list of amari, cocktails and new wave Italo-disco beats.

Asado
With a menu by Exec Chef Ollie Gould, Asado serves up classic Argentinian staples fresh from the open fire pit and parrilla grill. Differing from the group’s other venues – Pastuso, Palermo and San Telmo – Asado will spice things up with a Spanish influence.

6 Riverside Quay, Southbank

Christian McCabe and Dave Verheul have transformed the space above their wine bar Embla, offering either a two or four-course set menu with dishes like semi-dried potato cacio e pepe pasta to sit and linger over with a view of the kitchen woodfire.

Clooney Kitchen & Bar opening late August
This 1950s-inspired restaurant and bar brings a touch of jazz and old-fashion sophistication to Port Melbourne. Fusing house-made liqueurs with a collection of artisanal spirits, rounded off with a selection of small bites inspired by Europe and Asia.

Elichi opening mid-August
The new modern Indian eatery from the Babu Ji team highlights the best local ingredients with classic flavours, presenting a modern spin on traditional family recipes. Elichi will use ingredients that don’t usually appear in Indian cooking, like truffles used in naan bread.
