Take your dishes to new flavour heights

When it comes to flavour, salt is often lauded as the one irreplaceable ingredient in the kitchen. Producing gourmet salt flakes from an ancient inland sea in the Mildura region since 2000, Murray River Salt ought to know a thing or two about how to liven up a dish. If you’re keen to experiment, try out some of their tips below.

Infused with premium chilli flakes grown in the rich earth of the Murray region, use Murray River Gourmet’s chilli infused salt to finish off seafood on the barbecue, spice up your wood fired pizza or add a zing to your next margarita by rimming the glass with chilli salt. If you’re looking for something more adventurous, try sprinkling it on slices of watermelon or pineapple.

For rich, earthy flavour, Murray River Gourmet’s truffle infused salt is a decadent finish to any dish. Use the truffle infused salt to up the ante on your egg dishes, on homemade chips for delicious flavour or mixed with a high quality unsalted butter to accompany steak. You could also try adding the salt to just tossed pasta and risotto for extra depth of flavour.
