Adriano Zumbo certainly knows a thing or two about the sweeter things in life.

He’s at the helm of a hugely popular patisserie in Balmain, Sydney creating out-of-this-world sweet treats – we’re sure the queues will stretch down to Melbourne soon enough.

Adriano has chosen four “sweet-tooth” events from our 250+ event program for his top Festival picks:

Reinterpreting Dessert, Der Raum, Richmond
This five-course dessert and cocktail degustation will combine the talents of renowned British-born pastry chefs Ian Burch (No35 at Sofitel, The Press Club) and Darren Purchese (Guillaume at Bennelong, Vue de monde) with Der Raum owner/executive bartender Matthew Bax.

From the Bean to the Bar, Monsieur Truffe, Brunswick East
Join Monsieur Truffe (Thibault Fregoni) when he opens the doors of his bean-to-bar chocolate factory for a unique opportunity to see how chocolate is made, from cocoa roasting to conching. See and understand the process of making chocolate from the bean, discover a selection of single origin chocolates and taste Monsieur Truffe's inimitable hot chocolate.

Chocolate Prohibition, Bluestone Restaurant, Melbourne
Enjoy jazz music as you experience a decadent selection of Sisko Chocolate creations paired with outstanding wines. A chocolate experience to remember... dress up if you like, and get into the 1920s theme.

From Cocoa Pod to Plate, Huntingdale Golf Club, South Oakleigh
Challenge your preconceptions of chocolate and allow the artisan chocolatiers of Xocolatl, together with George Skalotis, executive chef of Huntingdale Golf Club, pair this most celebrated ingredient with different dishes in an eleven-course degustation dinner complemented by a selection of wines.

Catch Adriano during the Festival at Douce France on 9 March.
