Weekender Guide to Daylesford

Make your way to the perfect place to unwind, pamper yourself, or simply enjoy the surrounding natural attractions. Close enough for a day trip from Melbourne, Daylesford is still far enough away (both in a physical and spiritual sense!) to be the perfect escape from your daily routine.

From Melbourne, the Hume, Calder and Western highways and the Tullamarine Freeway all lead to Daylesford and the Macedon Ranges. Once you're there, an extensive network of peaceful back roads weave through the region to the essential indulgences of wineries, art galleries, country pubs and cafes, and secluded B&B cottages.

Public Transport

V/line have several train lines that service the area. Local bus companies travel between all the major towns and stop at all the region's train stations.

To learn more about what Daylesford has to offer, we had a chat with Natasha Morgan, Daylesford enthusiast and proud property owner of Oak and Monkey Puzzle. Natasha says it’s a dream in the making, a place that incorporates her background in landscape architecture, passion for talented local artisans and the sharing of their unique skills.
