If you're keen for an adventure, Falls Creek is the perfect destination for an exciting getaway. During winter, ski or snowboard and enjoy the views of the snowy mountains or during the warmer months, you'll be spoilt for choice from a calendar of events celebrating the High Country life.
HOW TO GET THERE
Falls Creek is easily accessible from Melbourne on the Hume Highway. Take the C522 exit and continue until Bogong High Plains Rd.
Take Note: There’s no fuel available at Falls Creek so it is a good idea to fill up in Mt Beauty before driving the last leg to the resort. For more information visit fallscreek.com.au/selfdrive.
From Southern Cross Station there are frequent V/Line train services from Melbourne to Albury and many coach services into the region. For more timetable info, contact V/Line on 13 61 96 or visit their website.
To find out the hot spots in Falls Creek, we had a chat with Jo Prothero from Falls Creek Resort Management. Jo's an expert of the area as she’s lived in Falls Creek since 2012 and now calls it home. Her passions include skiing in the winter and trail running, kayaking, hiking and riding in the summer. For Jo, Falls Creek is a great outdoor playground all year round.
