What’s in season right now

Our friends at the Victorian Farmers' Market Association share what to pick up on your next trip to the market, so that you can welcome the spring with new-season Victorian produce.

Vegetables: Artichokes, asparagus, Asian greens, avocados, beetroot, broad beans, broccoli, cabbages, cauliflower, carrots, celery, cucumber, daikon, fennel, garlic shoots, kale, kohlrabi (green), leeks, lettuce, nettles, onions, peas, silverbeet, spinach, turnips and potatoes. 

Fruits: Apricots, cherries, cumquats, grapefruit, lemons, limes, loganberries, mandarins, nashi, oranges, raspberries, rhubarb, strawberries and youngberries.

Herbs: Bay leaf, bronze fennel, chives, coriander, dill, parsley, marjoram, mint, oregano, rosemary, sage, thyme and watercress.
