Visitors from around the world come to drive the Great Ocean Road.
Hugging the rugged coast, winding through stands of eucalypts, the drive drops down to secluded sandy beaches and on to beachside hamlets and sea resorts nestled in the forest. In those little towns are some of the state's great cafes and restaurants filling their menus with fresh seafood, fat, ripe berries and meat produced from the rich hinterland.
At the head of the road is Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula, the historic home to Victorian wine, now producing some of our best. With award-winning restaurants and historic hotels it's a natural foodie playground.
Don’t leave the Bellarine Peninsula without enjoying some famously fresh seafood – sumptuous locally harvested mussels and a variety of other seafood right from the Bass Strait. Delicious!
