The Murray River meanders its way around Victoria's north alongside historic port towns and spreading out into ancient gnarled forests full of bird and river life and rich with aboriginal history.

The region experiences a lot of sun and the river is a source of life irrigating vast tracts of stone fruit, tomato, dairy, citrus, olive and grape production. Beyond the irrigation is great dryland farming producing outstanding lamb and beef.

The region produces superb honey, and anartisan cheese and smallgoods renaissance is underway. While camping and fishing are forever popular, great restaurants such as Stefano's in Mildura have become tourist attractions in their own right.
