Victoria’s passion for making and drinking wine will be on show at the 2018 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival presented by Bank of Melbourne (MFWF). Take part in speed sessions with experts, matchings with cheese and dumplings, and an all-star feast to remember.

The Winemakers’ Feast
Sit down with the women shaping the future of wine in Australia over a five-course feast prepared by Chef Danielle Alvarez (Fred’s). No two tables will drink the same wine, as some of the country’s most respected winemakers and sommeliers dig deep into their private stores and break open their favourite vintages to share with you. Short, fast and loud, Vino Rapido is like speed dating without the bad bits. You’ll have three minutes to talk, taste and learn as much as you can from one wine expert before moving onto the next. Wednesday 21 March, 6:30pm, $55

Winemakers at the forefront of the natural revolution will join renowned cheese makers and mongers from Jasper Hill (USA), Neal’s Yard Dairy (UK) and Victoria’s best at this celebration of cheese and wine produced by artisans using farming and production techniques that protect the environment and the community. Join Rose Creek Estate owners Tony, Angelo, Lina and their community of friends at what’s described as ‘Tuscany in East Keilor’ as they pick the 2018 grape harvest at A Toast to Vendemmia. Learn how the grapes are crushed and de-stemmed before being pressed using traditional techniques. Sunday 18 March, $92.00
