The sweet flesh of the Southern rock lobster is one of the most prized proteins in the game. This Festival, chef Kyle Davis-Hill honours it with a six-course feast of European intrigue, from French lobster bisque and thermidor, to Milanese saffron and lobster risotto and Spanish lobster al ajillo – plus a little Aussie surf and turf and matched wines for good measure.

When premium crustaceans count, it simply must be Frederic Bar and Bistro: the lobster capital of Melbourne this Melbourne Food & Wine Festival.
