Scott Pickett's South Yarra restaurant Matilda is known for its modern Australian menu of elemental flame-cooked meats and smoky flavours, but when it comes to staff meal times, the influences are even more diverse.

From sourdough crumpets with smoked cheddar and onion (UK) to beggar's chicken (eastern China) to sai ua (a pork and curry sausage from northern Thailand), staff meals at Matilda are as multicultural as the kitchen brigade.

For one night only, each of the restaurant's chefs will share their rich background stories and flavours from home. The ‘Matilda x The World’ feast includes one dish from each chef, presented in signature Matilda style.
