Introducing Collins Street’s new Scandinavian darling, Freyja: the elegant scene of our next Bank of Melbourne Insider Series dinner, happening Tuesday 12 July.

Take an exciting young chef from Norway’s two Michelin-starred Re-naa, plant them in a two-storey heritage-listed building on Collins Street, pepper the airwaves with the term “new Nordic” and what do you have? Quite possibly the biggest fine dining opening in Melbourne this year.

If you like the sound of a menu rich in things like bacon consommé with squid, Murray cod with vin jaune and cime di rapa, and a dessert bringing together chestnut, rum, raisin and – wait for it – kelp, then may we highly recommend joining El Bulli-trained chef Jae Bang for an exclusive look at Melbourne’s most keenly anticipated fine diner, a jewellery box of northern European design and intrigue.
