Join Melbourne's Filipino advocacy group, The Entree.Pinays, for a special evening filled with sweet talk and tastings as they present 'Cakes and Chikahan' - an evening with an extraordinary panel of Filipino talent in cakes, desserts and patisserie.
The panel will include:
• Yasmin Newman, author of 7000 Islands: A Food Portrait of the Philippines; The Desserts of New York: And How to Eat Them All
• Santiago Cuyugan, 2017 Savour Patissier of the Year, and Head Chocolatier at Bibelot, South Melbourne
• Grace Guinto, Co-founder of The Entree.Pinays and Chief Baking Officer of Sweet Cora
• Miko Aspiras, Executive Pastry Chef at the Hilton Sydney, featured in the prestigious SoGood Magazine, visionary restauranteur, and co-author of A Piece of Cake
Attendees will be treated to a specially designed tasting menu of 9 desserts showcasing Filipino ingenuity, diversity of flavours and techniques.
