Take part in a hands-on cider workshop and tasting with wine and drinks writer Max Allen that will go beyond mass-produced to showcase the history and variety of cider.
Max, a cider tragic and a Legend of Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, will take you back to the early days of cider-making in Australia with a Saturday afternoon spent in the historic grounds of Rippon Lea Estate.
Taste rare heritage apples grown in the Estate’s orchard, drink single-varietal ciders, and help crush fruit and press juice using an antique 19th-century cider press.
For online purchases via melbournefoodandwine.com.au, a credit card fee of up to 1.7% and booking fee of up to $4.00 per transaction may be applied. Purchases through other sites may incur different booking fees.
