Your favourite Ripponlea corner Restaurant & Wine Bar becomes a jazz venue for one day only! Book a beautiful Sunday lunch featuring a wintry menu of slow-cooked meats and accompaniments with a locally produced premium shiraz list complemented by the beautiful & soulful jazz singer and performer Raleigh Williams.
The menu includes a delicious spread of slow-cooked dishes. Each guest chooses their own main meal, and all accompaniments will be served to the centre of the table to share.
Main courses include hand-cut malfaldine Lello pasta with 12-hour-braised osso buco, coq au vin, and lamb shanks braised in red wine. Accompaniments, meanwhile, run to the likes of brussels sprouts with pancetta and cheesy cream, truffled mashed potato, eggplant chips with burnt-onion aioli, glazed baby carrots, and charred broccoli with almond cream sauce.
For dessert there’s sticky date pudding served hot with butterscotch sauce, and a raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake.
On the wine side, expect a selection of premium expressions of shiraz from Heathcote Winery and a visit from their chief Winemaker, Rachel Gore, who will introduce the wine list and ‘talk shop’ for those interested in her shiraz winemaking process.
