Meet some of our wine importer friends who not only help shape what we drink, but how we drink it.

The second of our wine dinner series will showcase two of the best importers Australia has ever seen in Rob Walters from Bibendum and Patrick Walsh, one of Melbourne’s original sommeliers and owner of Cellarhand.

Rob Walter is also author of the controversial book on Champagne, ‘Bursting with Bubbles’, while Patrick Walsh has been one of the driving forces in seeing German and Austrian wines imported into Australia.

The only rule of engagement – neither men are to serve any wines they import.

This is not a sales dinner. Rather, a rare chance to get up, close and personal and hear stories from these influential wine merchants and taste the wines that inspire them.

Light-hearted, engaging and fun whilst showing some great bottles with great food and people.

Carlton Wine Room is excited to be presenting a series of dinners that celebrate the people in the wine industry who inspire us while showcasing the wines that inspire them.
