Spend some time with High Country folk this autumn, without hitting the road.

Experiences you can usually only get in the High Country are now coming to you wherever you happen to be, with the launch of High Country At Home. Five online sessions featuring makers, producers and other local businesses are available to book throughout May and June, with High Country winemakers, chefs, aromatherapists and others keeping your hands and your tastebuds busy.

Each online session is a private experience, held over Zoom, that you book for you and a group of pals, your family or your household. Sessions include a gnocchi-making class with Katrina Pizzini of A Tavola cooking school, a deep-dive on barrel-aged beers from Bright Brewery and other hands-on fun. For something a bit looser, let bartender Adam Eaton guide you through the steps to making your own iso cocktails as you try examples from Reed & Co distillery on a Friday night.

To book, you pick a date that suits your group, keep an eye out for a parcel in the mail with everything you need for the session, and when the date comes around, jump on Zoom using the private link.

While you’re booking, you can also pick up a few items to add to your delivery in the High Country online store. There’s Tolpuddle’s highly regarded goat’s milk cheese, Beechworth honey, coffee from Bright roastery Sixpence, beer from seven of the region’s craft breweries, gin and, of course, wine, essential for getting your iso activities off to a smooth start.
