Which of the dishes on the menu best captures the spirit of Teller?
It would have to be our chicken schnitzel with celeriac remoulade, tarragon butter and lemon. It’s a kiev that is brined overnight before being crumbed to golden perfection. A lot of love goes into this schnitzel before it hits the plate and it has already become a Teller favourite.
How about a drink?
My top pick is the Fiery Passion Margarita which has been getting us all through lockdown. Our selection of cocktails are bottled with love and ready for takeaway – to be enjoyed at home responsibly, of course.
What if I’m here for a good time, not a long time?
Once we can reopen, oysters and fizz are perfect for a sneaky afternoon pick me up. Right now, anything from the takeaway Fish & Chip Shop menu is great for a seafood fix at the end of the week. Think house-made potato cakes, battered fish and chips, grilled calamari or school prawns.
Let’s talk about post-lockdown. What do you have for us that’s light and fresh?
You can’t go past the ocean trout with cucumber and dill, served alongside roasted beets with salsa agresto, and a side of chimichurri carrots with whipped feta and hazelnuts. It’s a beautiful flavour combination that is equally as fresh as it is flavoursome.
I like tasty food but I don’t eat animals.
For our vegan friends, I’d start with our spiced pumpkin and the half roasted cauliflower.For those that indulge in dairy, the pan-fried truffle ricotta gnocchi with parmesan cream, mushrooms and chard is a must.

Seated in the annex, which overlooks the laneway beer garden, start with a flowing selection of our snacks and share dishes. The half free range chicken with ajo blanco, leeks & chimichurri (available on our takeaway menu now), the 800-gram rib eye and the half roasted cauliflower with harissa and nigella are all great sharing dishes.
As for beverages, I suggest you go big and drink magnums, like the Rameau d’Or rosé – perfect for the impending warm weather.
What about to close?
Right now, the cherry on top is the goat’s cheesecake - it’s deliciousness on a plate. It’s served with poached rhubarb, thyme crumb, and honey for that extra drizzle of sweetness and is best paired with our satisfaction-guaranteed barrel-aged Negroni. You can order it right now too!
