Welcome to the 27th Melbourne Food and Wine Festival – and welcome to Australia’s home for food and wine.

Over two-and-a-half weeks, many of our award-winning restaurants will be on display, giving guests the chance to try dishes prepared by some of the world’s best chefs, using our state’s finest produce.

And as a renowned wine producer, home to more than 800 wineries and 600 cellar doors, Victoria proudly boasts a wine for every palate.

The 2019 Festival also offers dozens of events in every corner of our state – including 20 Regional World’s Longest Lunches – giving people even more reason to escape the city and experience regional Victoria.

Our Government is very proud to support the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, just as we’re proud to support Victoria’s incredible food and wine producers.

To everyone attending, I hope you enjoy sampling the very best our state has to offer.

The Hon Daniel Andrews MP

Visit Victoria

Welcome to the 2019 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.

Over two weeks in March, the state’s most innovative chefs and wine producers will showcase the best Victoria has to offer across more than 200 unique events in a moving feast for the senses.

Some of this year’s exciting program highlights include the King Valley Prosecco Festival in the high country and the Global Dining Series which brings together some of the globe’s most creative chefs in one-off collaborations hosted by incredible Melbourne restaurants.

The House of Food and Wine also returns crossing the Yarra to make its new home in the iconic Malthouse theatre. Over three days, diners will see the theatres spaces and courtyard transformed into a foodie’s paradise of food trucks, pop-up bars, chef demonstrations, talks and workshops.

Festival favourites including the Melbourne and Regional Longest Lunches and the Crawl ‘n’ Bite series are also back to serve the best of Victoria up on a plate to new culinary explorers.

Thank you to all involved in bringing the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival to life. And to everyone attending, Bon Appetit!

City of Melbourne

The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival offers a fine opportunity to celebrate all the events and trends in the culinary world right here in our city. The City of Melbourne is proud to support the festival in 2019 which will include the River Graze by the Yarra River and many other tempting times at the table.

The Yarra is transformed when chefs, food trucks and festival goers gather on its banks to sample food over three days. I am pleased that the River Graze has a community focus and I invite you to enjoy this free family event with markets, activities and all the fun of the festival.
