For one afternoon only, Laurice Fajardo of Halaya, Con Buada of Dröm, Grace Guinto of Sweet Cora, Kristina Náray of Malindang, and Brooklyn NYC-based Abi Balingit, James Beard Award-winning author of Mayumu, present a menu of sweet and savoury treats.

We're talking ube Swiss rolls, cassava cake, longanisa and keso twists, calamansi leche flan danish, binignit with grilled bananas and guava sorbet by Dirty Ice Cream, cornflake crunch polvoron, and adobo choc chip cookies, all served with Akasya Kape cold brew using beans from Bukidnon, Philippines.

And it wouldn't be merienda without the musings; The Entree.Pinays and Raine Cabral will lead a lively panel with these dessert divas exploring Filipino sweets reimagined with an Aussie and American accent.

Be part of an afternoon of flavours and conversations that celebrates Filipino cuisine, culture, community – and the Filipinas in food who bring it to the fore.
