Following two smash-hit Festival appearances, Raph Rashid and Tom Sarafian’s exploration of the delicious intersection of Mexican and Middle Eastern cuisines returns for MFWF 2026 – and this time they’ve brought reinforcements, with Ricardo Garcia Flores of El Columpio fame bringing the big flan energy.
Now that Tom has opened a restaurant of his own, it’s only natural that Zareh – or as we like to call it, the Good Food Guide New Restaurant of the Year – is the venue for this latest episode. Not only does that mean that the 2026 outing will be powered by wood-fired cooking, it’ll also come with cocktails, courtesy of mixology assassin Matt Linklater.
If you happened to attend Tacos & Toum episode two last March, you’ll know that this event brings the noise – in a big way. This instalment is no exception, with both a mariachi band and Lebanese drums.
They’re talking seafood towers and Al Pastor, they’re talking the 'Salma Hayek' cocktail (Mexican Coca Cola, toum, much lemon and salt, all stirred with Zareh's khorovats-seasoned shawarma machete). And of course, they’re talking tacos and they’re talking toum. After all, as Tom says, “La acción es la esencia”.
