The Little Food Market makes a big, bold and full-flavoured return, bringing over 200 makers, growers, producers and artisans to the Royal Exhibition Building this July. On the bill for 2025? A host of crowd favourites coming back for seconds, snacking and sampling galore, a dedicated cheese precinct and a regional showcase that brings the best bits of the state together over one delicious weekend.
There’s plenty of familiar names setting up shop under the REB roof, including Pistachio Papi and its guilt- and gluten-free spread, crisps artisans Chappy’s Chips, Cobb Lane bakery, Casa Nata, and pepper disruptors Pep who may or may not be packing their small-batch pepper fragrance.
Along with all that snacking and sampling, there’s great drinking to be had too. Non-alc legends Non are on board, while the likes of St Hubert’s, Fleet Wines, Tommy’s Booze and Daylesford Spirit Distillery, to name a few, are putting the percentage in your pour.
The Feast precinct, a crowd favourite for those wanting the full serve, hits this year with headliners Ca Com Banh Mi Bar, D.O.C Gastronomia Italiana and Dingo Ate My Taco among others, all serving up main plates amid the flurry of small bites and serious snacks.
And in 2025, The Little Food Market is going full throttle on the fromage with its own cheese precinct. Milawa Cheese, Long Paddock, Supercheese and burrata behemoth That’s Amore will all be there, plus guest appearances from Mt Zero Olives and Goose on the Loose salumi taking you to charcuterie nirvana.
Your favourite food personality’s favourite food personalities are taking to the Chef’s Hat Stage, too. Join food journalist Dani Valent and Turnip Media’s Hilary McNevin for cooking demonstrations with Alice Zaslavsky, baking and caking with Miss Trixie and appearances from the likes of Australia’s better-loved wine writer Nick Ryan and more.
The Little Food Market, tickets from $10 pre-sale or $15 on the door, Friday 18 July, 12pm-8pm, Saturday 19 July, 10am-7pm, Sunday 20 July, 10am-5pm, Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton, thelittlefoodmarket.com.
