One of New York’s most exciting openings of 2024, Bridges arrives in Melbourne for MFWF’s 2026 Global Dining Series. Over two nights, chef Sam Lawrence (ex-Bones, Paris, and Estela, Manhattan) will bring his distinctive blend of Parisian and Basque influences to Fitzroy’s heart, taking over Gertrude Street’s Cutler.
Reviewing the restaurant in The New York Times under the headline “This Manhattan Restaurant Is Even Better Than Its Buzz”, Melissa Clark described Bridges as “a piercingly intelligent and original restaurant, with a kitchen whose dexterity and finesse handily outshone the dining room’s influencer glow.” A meal at Bridges, she continued, can feel like discovering that your hot date also has a sizzling wit and a Ph.D.
