Begin your journey at the Shrine Visitor Centre, where guests gather before embarking on an extraordinary high tea experience that elevates the humble flavours of wartime rations into a refined and memorable culinary event.
This bespoke spread draws direct inspiration from the foods that sustained our troops, from crisp ANZAC biscuits and golden bully beef pies to rich fruit cake reimagined with orchard fruits from Victorian growers.
You'll enjoy an elegant assortment of savouries, sweets, and innovative ration-inspired creations, paired with curated specialty teas and premium rum-led cocktails that pay tribute to historic military traditions.
Presented with creativity and reverence, the menu invites guests to discover the stories behind each dish while celebrating resilience, service, and the flavours that once connected soldiers to home.
The event will also feature a guest speaker discussing the Shrine’s special exhibition Taste of Combat: The Evolution of Military Food.
Following the high tea, you'll be guided on a private tour of the Shrine of Remembrance offering rare insights into its architecture, symbolism, and the personal histories it safeguards.
The experience concludes with the moving Last Post Ceremony at 4.45pm, delivering a powerful and reflective finale to this unique high tea.
