Everybody’s favourite wood-fired Southeast Asian fine-diner and everyone’s favourite airline for globetrotters come together for one night this month to celebrate the food culture of one of the world’s great eating cities.
Aru and Singapore Airlines take you to Singapore on Little Collins Street, with chef Nico Koevoets and the Aru kitchen channelling their love for the island nation through the famed wood-fired kitchen to present a loving homage to its cuisine.
It’s Singaporean food like you’ve never seen it before, sparkling with the native Australian ingredients that are one of Aru’s calling cards. It’s nine courses that’ll see the likes of lemon myrtle and finger lime meeting grilled squid with sambal belacan, a superb wood-grilled skate wing in assam broth with torch-ginger flower and okra, and satay gone luxe with beef short rib, achar vegetables and a fragrant peanut sauce among other hits.
Singapore Airlines, meanwhile, is marking the 60th year of Singapore’s independence and is celebrating this diamond jubilee by offering you a gift. One lucky diner on the night will walk away with an epic prize of 60,000 points on Kris+.
